Lyonne was among the cast members on the red carpet at the TLC Chinese Theatre, followed by an accusation that she was removed from a flight. According to Page Six, Lyonne was escorted off the plane for not responding to flight attendants' instructions.
A source who was on the flight with her stated that passengers heard the actress asking where she was after being awakened by the flight crew.
When she was escorted off the plane, the pilot explained to passengers what had happened.
"We have a passenger who, for whatever reason, did not want to follow some basic instructions. We had a passenger who was not fit to fly tonight, so she was asked to book another flight. I apologize for the inconvenience, but we will get to New York as quickly and safely as possible," he said.
Afterward, Lyonne addressed the incident on social media.
"My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. ๐ Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasnโt in the cards. Who owns page six/New York Post now again?"
Lyonne was scheduled to appear on "The Drew Barrymore Show," but that guest appearance was canceled. The actress has also previously spoken about her struggles with addiction.
"Recovery is a lifelong process. To anyone battling addiction, I want to say remember you are not alone. I am grateful for the love. My goal is to keep this process as private as possible, but I look forward to sharing my experience, strength, and hope whenever it makes sense. My heart is with everyone going through this," she shared.
