Purić, if sufficient support for his appointment is secured, is expected to replace his party colleague Dragan Mioković. Recall that Mioković was dismissed at the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 12, at the initiative of the HDZ and parties close to them. The initiative to remove Mioković was submitted after his comment that partisans at Bleiburg "killed a few Croats," which sparked numerous public reactions. He later apologized to the families of those who were innocent victims. Alongside the HDZ, HDZ 1990, and representatives Mario Karamatić and Slaven Raguž, the initiative was supported by the SDA, DF, and the Party for BiH. Representatives of the SDP abstained, while representatives of NiP and NS were against. Purić identifies as "Other," which gives him the opportunity to fill the position in the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the PFBiH, where Mladen Bošković (HDZ) and Azra Okić (SDP) are already seated. As for the new candidate from Our Party, Purić has been politically active since November 2019 as the president of the Municipal Committee of Our Party in Velika Kladuša, and in 2020 he was elected as a municipal councilor. He has been a member of the Presidency of Our Party since 2021 and a representative in the House of Representatives of the PFBiH since 2022.
