This political transfer was formalized today at a press conference of the Cantonal Organization of the SDP Tuzla, confirming the move of a large number of former SBiH members into the ranks of the Social Democrats. On this occasion, the public was addressed by the Political Director of the SDP, Nerin Dizdar, the President of the Cantonal Organization of the SDP in Tuzla, Dževad Hadžić, and the Mayor himself, Hrustanović. As highlighted, along with Mayor Hrustanović and seven councilors of the Municipal Council of Čelić, the entire former leadership of the local SBiH is also joining the new party. "The entire former Municipal Council of SBiH Čelić, consisting of 29 people, seven councilors, and myself as the mayor, is joining the SDP," stated Hrustanović. It is worth recalling that Hrustanović was one of the founders of the Party for BiH and served as the vice president of that party. His departure, along with that of his loyal associates, followed recently after he was not elected as the President of the Cantonal Council of SBiH in the Tuzla Canton. This move is regarded by the SDP as a major step in strengthening the party's infrastructure at the local level. Longtime Vice President of the City Council of the Party for BiH, Selma Delić, has also joined the SDP, along with part of the former Tuzla leadership of this party. Representatives of the SDP emphasized that with these transfers, the number of their members in the Tuzla Canton is continuously growing and presented data on the political strengthening of the party. On this occasion, special emphasis was placed on the results of the authorities at all levels, particularly on the work of the Government of the Federation of BiH led by Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić. The Cantonal Organization of the SDP conveyed that in the upcoming period, their primary focus will remain on further political activities and additional strengthening of the organization, both at the local and cantonal levels.
