Organized by the production companies Druga Strana, Fiesta Lama, A Comic Soul, and Comedy’s Finest, the Sarajevo audience will for the first time have the opportunity to see live an artist recognized internationally as one of the sharpest and most influential voices in contemporary satire.
Often called the "Egyptian Jon Stewart," Bassem Youssef brings a unique blend of intelligent humor, political satire, and personal stories that captivate audiences worldwide. Following a series of sold-out shows and immense global interest, his new tour, which includes Vienna, Berlin, and Paris, is also coming to Sarajevo, promising an evening that goes beyond the classic stand-up format.
The audience can expect a dynamic, provocative, and witty program that leaves no one indifferent, instead encouraging reflection and conversation. Youssef was the host of the popular TV show Al Bernameg—the first political satire program in the Middle East, which became the most-watched show with up to 30 million viewers weekly and over a million subscribers on its YouTube channel.
Bassem has also appeared in series such as MO (Netflix), RAMY (Hulu), LIONESS (Paramount+), and UPLOAD (Amazon). In October 2023, his interview with Piers Morgan garnered global attention and went viral worldwide—it is now the most-watched interview in the history of Piers Morgan Uncensored. Throughout 2024, Youssef sold over 100,000 tickets for his solo stand-up show The Middle Beast, performing in theaters and arenas around the world.
