According to the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, he was convicted for the criminal offense of serious crimes against public traffic safety in connection with the criminal offense of endangering public traffic. He was found guilty and sentenced to seven years in prison.

"The accused was issued a security measure prohibiting him from driving category B vehicles for a period of four years, with the time served in prison not counting toward the duration of this measure," stated the Cantonal Court in Tuzla.

They noted that he was found guilty because, in the early morning hours of July 13, 2025, on Bosnia Srebrene Street in Tuzla, on the M4 highway, he acted contrary to the provisions of the Law on the Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety in BiH.

"He was under the influence of alcohol and with the presence of narcotic drugs in his blood, driving a BMW 530 at a speed of 159 km/h on a section where the speed limit is 50 km/h. At the moment when Haris Šehić, driving a passenger motor vehicle VW Golf 6, was merging onto the highway, contact occurred between the mentioned vehicles. As a result, the passenger from the Golf, A.S., was fatally injured, and four people from both vehicles were seriously and lightly injured, with one parked vehicle and a kiosk damaged," explained the Cantonal Court in Tuzla.

The accused Haris Šehić was acquitted of the charge that he committed the criminal offense of serious crimes against public traffic safety in connection with the criminal offense of endangering public traffic through negligence.

After the verdict was pronounced, the court issued a decision extending the detention of the accused Nedim Hasanbegović, which can last up to nine months, counting from the day the verdict was pronounced.
