The order was issued to ensure the unobstructed stay and movement of a high-ranking foreign delegation visiting the Republic of Srpska, as stated, and does not apply to public and municipal service freight vehicles or vehicles engaged in security operations.
This applies to April 7th from 10:00 to 24:00 hours. It concerns the following routes: on the M-I 101 highway, on the sections MA Banja Luka (Mahovljani) - Aleksandrovac highway (Aleksandrovac toll booths) and Klasnice 2 - Banja Luka (PRSMV); on the highway, on the section Gradiลกka (Aleksandrovac) - Banja Luka (Jakupovci); all streets within the territory of the city of Banja Luka; and In order to implement special security measures on these sections, there will be a temporary complete traffic halt for the passage of protected persons. During the specified time period, in the area of the cities of Banja Luka and Laktaลกi, the Order prohibiting the transport of explosive materials, weapons, and military equipment in road traffic on the following road routes is in effect:
Due to this visit, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, ลฝeljko Budimir, also announced, stating that the police are working on organizing security in accordance with the practice for the arrival of VIP personalities.
"This is also the case with the announced visit of Donald Trump Jr. to Banja Luka. Rest assured that everything will be undertaken as it is every time someone visits the RS, to ensure they feel safe," said Budimir.
