In the title role of Marlene Dietrich, we will see one of the best actresses in the region, Mirjana Karanović. Alongside Mirjana, the play features Mona Muratović, Elmir Krivalić, and Enes Salković.
According to Haris Pašović, the author and director of the play: "Marlene Dietrich was more than a film star—she was a myth. A very unusual woman, very special, who throughout her life always made unconventional choices, often risking the reaction of her surroundings—whether private, professional, or from her homeland. I wrote a play about an imaginary trial of Marlene Dietrich, in which she is accused because of her lifestyle; her unorthodox views on marriage and family; her independent nature; her eroticism; and her involvement with the American army during World War II. In the play, three young prosecutors, one woman and two men, accuse Marlene of not being patriotic enough, of not being a good mother, of having extramarital affairs, and of betraying her country. These are serious accusations, and they cite examples from her life that, in their opinion, support the indictment."
The set design is by Lada Maglajlić and Vedad Orahovac, and the costume design by Irma Saje and Vanja Ciraj. The composer of the play is Dino Šukalo and Studio "Modra rijeka." Lighting design is by Branislav Milinković, and video art by Dino Hujić. The director of photography is Alen Alilović, and video production is by "Source production."
"Marlene Dietrich: Five Points of the Indictment," by author and director Haris Pašović, is a co-production of the National Theater Sarajevo and Mittelfest Cividale, in collaboration with BNP Zenica.
