Following last night's 126-106 loss to Philadelphia, which concluded Milwaukee's season with a 32-50 record, team general manager Jon Horst has fired 64-year-old Rivers, as reported by NBA insider Shams Charania.

Expectations for Rivers from day one were exclusively to contend for an NBA championship. However, the team under his leadership often struggled with consistency, injuries to key players, and finding the right chemistry on the court, particularly in defensive assignments and during crucial playoff games.

Rivers finished with a losing record (97-103) as head coach of the Bucks and only managed to reach the first round of the playoffs twice.

Milwaukee will pay him $10 million for the contract termination, which he was set to earn next season, and will now turn to finding a solution on the bench.
