Through an Instagram Story post, she reflected on the messages her followers send her, as well as the social prejudices women face. As she noted, she often receives questions about what dating and entering new relationships after divorce looks like, which is why she decided to share her opinion. "When a man starts dating someone after a divorce, it is perceived as normal, even desirable. When a woman does it, questions often arise about whether it's too soon, whether it's appropriate, and what kind of mother she is," Mary wrote. She added that such a way of thinking needs to change, emphasizing that women have an equal right to a fresh start. "That's why it's important to normalize that women after divorce also have the right to a new beginning, to dating and emotions, without justification and without judgment. Divorce does not mean the end and should not mean that a woman has to put her own life on hold while everything is tacitly allowed for men. And I sincerely hope that more and more women will feel the freedom to leave a public comment, rather than sending a message to prevent judgment over something that is completely human and normal," she conveyed. Recall, Mary revealed last year that she is divorcing her husband Jurica, emphasizing that the decision was not made abruptly. "Jurica and I haven't been together for some time. The decision wasn't made suddenly, but gradually, quietly, through many conversations and mutual reflection," she said at the time. Mary and entrepreneur Jurica met in a club in Split, and they have previously spoken about their first encounter. "As soon as I saw her from the club entrance, I knew she was the one, but she wasn't aware of it yet," said Jurica, while Mary added: "My legs went weak and I knew that was it."
