Although director Martin Scorsese did not ask her to do it, she decided to go ahead with it. The film "The Wolf of Wall Street" assembled a cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, and Rob Reiner. Although this was Robbie's first major film role, in the scene where her character seduces Jordan, played by DiCaprio, she was supposed to appear completely naked. While appearing on the podcast "Talking Pictures," Robbie mentioned that Martin Scorsese suggested she wear a robe if she felt uncomfortable, but she refused. "That's not something she would do in that scene. The point of the role and the scene is to appear completely naked, because that's the main asset," she said. Also, this was not the only moment where Robbie influenced key scenes in the film. Additionally, she mentioned that she suggested her character and Belfort have a final sexual encounter before the scene where she asks for a divorce. "According to the original script, I was just supposed to walk into his office and say I want a divorce, and that was it," she stated. The night before filming, she, Scorsese, and DiCaprio went through the script again. "We started improvising and locked ourselves in a room until three in the morning figuring out how it should look. That's how the preceding sex scene came about," she recalled. Robbie noted that filming lasted for months at that point and an atmosphere had developed among the crew where anything was possible. Additionally, she said that during a rehearsal of the scene, she thought at one point that she might kiss Leonardo DiCaprio. "I thought I could kiss him now and it would be great. I can't wait to tell my friends. Then I thought, nah," she said.
