On this occasion, Mario Kordić welcomed the participants of the fair and emphasized that exhibitors see Mostar as a unique place where everyone feels at home and where important economic topics can be openly discussed without a sense of not belonging. "For years, we have witnessed how the Mostar Economic Fair represents a top socio-political event, which is also confirmed by the composition of all of you here—from the Federal Government, through the Government of the Republic of Croatia, to all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Kordić, adding that he is convinced that, together with international partners and businesspeople, topics of exceptional importance will be discussed. Speaking about the specifics of the fair, he highlighted that alongside the main program, numerous panels on various topics will be held on the sidelines, where current challenges and problems will be discussed in this important period for the entire world, with the aim of finding common solutions and overcoming the existing crisis. "The fair is taking place in perhaps the greatest economic crisis ever recorded. We talk daily with businesspeople who are facing numerous challenges and are confused by geopolitical upheavals and the consequences of conflicts in the near and wider surroundings, which has led to a major energy crisis and a situation where previous rules in business and economics no longer apply in the same way. Day by day, information is monitored and solutions are sought to preserve companies and jobs. I hope that precisely at this fair, space will be opened for discussion on these topics and for jointly seeking ways to at least mitigate the consequences of current developments," Kordić conveyed. The Mayor of Mostar supported Darijana Filipović as the HDZ candidate for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that it is an important and responsible function she has taken on. He wished her success and full support in her future work, expressing hope for positive results in the period ahead. The 27th International Mostar Economic Fair this year brings together around 900 exhibitors from 27 countries, confirming its status as the largest economic event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
