"For me, it has been very difficult since I won—mainly because these pageants are not used to a 'real' woman: a woman who doesn't fit the exact measurements they require or a woman who actually has her own voice," she then said, calling the experience of working as Miss Universe "terrifying." "She clarified that her intention was not to discourage participation in beauty pageants or to question their value, but to emphasize that it is one of many ways women can express their voice, purpose, and ambitions.
