He said that Israel, together with the United States, has "strongly struck Iran," weakening its defensive capabilities. "Now we must not allow them any achievements regarding the nuclear program, in Hormuz, and in other matters," he added, warning of further strikes "if necessary."
Regarding Lebanon, Zamir said that operations in the south are ongoing, and Israeli forces are "occupying and clearing key areas" and "removing threats to northern settlements."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated earlier that he ordered the military to continue strengthening the security zone in southern Lebanon and to expand it towards the east of the country while simultaneously negotiating a peace agreement with Beirut. Netanyahu added that Israeli forces are focused on Bint Jbeil, which he called the capital of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
