In an interview with People, she said she does what suits her best. "For me, exercise started at a low point in life. I don't have a scale now, I don't look at that. You just have to do what works for you. I know it's easy to compare yourself to other people, especially on social media, and I've been a victim of that, but now I feel so good because I'm my only competition," she shared. Kardashian said she enjoys noticing certain changes in herself. "There is no universal solution. Someone goes to the gym twice a week and has an incredible body, and I might have to fight a little harder for mine. I think it's okay to be in a race with yourself," she said. She also spoke about the importance of hard work and the fact that physical transformation lasts only if it starts from the inside out. "It's possible that there is a little help and support, but you still have to reprogram your brain and love yourself first and foremost," she noted. The beginning of her weight loss process is linked to her divorce from Lamar Odom, when the gym helped her face her situation. Her psychotherapist shared this information with the media, although it came from private sessions. "I remember going to therapy and the next thing I remember is that everything I told my therapist was in the tabloids. Because of that, I stopped going to therapy and started going to the gym. I needed some kind of relief, but I didn't trust anyone else anymore. The place where I felt safest was the gym," Kardashian said.
