Police officials have confirmed to Australian media that they are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010. According to the Herald Sun, detectives from Melbourne's Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse Investigation Team are looking into Rose's allegations.

"Police have been told the incident occurred at a venue in Melbourne's CBD. As the investigation is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment at this stage," a Victoria Police spokesperson told the Herald Sun.

It is recalled that Rose previously claimed that Perry sexually assaulted her while they were at a nightclub in Melbourne 20 years ago. A representative for Katy Perry has denied these allegations.

Additionally, Ruby Rose confirmed yesterday that she has reported the case to the police.

"As of this afternoon, I have completed all my reports. This means I can no longer comment, repost, or publicly speak about any of these cases or the individuals involved. It will look like I'm ignoring everything, from supportive messages to other people's experiences, but I'm not ignoring them. This is a standard police request. I can now begin the healing process and move forward. I love you all very much," Rose said.

Ruby Rose previously stated that she was in her early twenties at the time of the incident and that it took nearly 20 years for her to speak out publicly.

"While I am grateful I survived long enough to find my voice, it shows the impact that trauma and sexual assault have," she conveyed.
