The Old Lady decisively settled the question of the winner with a furious entry into the match early on and successfully repelled all attacks from the visitors in the second half.

The host brilliantly opened the encounter and crowned their dominance with a goal right at the very beginning. In the 4th minute, Bremer, with a bit of luck, headed in to give Juventus a 1:0 lead.

It didn't take long for the lead to increase. In the 18th minute, Weston McKennie brilliantly followed up the play and struck a superb first-time shot to make it 2:0. McKennie had another great chance towards the end of the first half, but from close range, he shot just over the goal.

In the 48th minute, Jonathan David shook the left post with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area, and Genoa missed their best opportunity to get back into the match in the 75th minute.

After a VAR check, referee Davide Massa awarded a penalty to the visitors. Aaron Martin took responsibility, shooting to the left side, but Di Gregorio saved it.

The score did not change until the end of the match. Juventus smartly brought the game to a close and deservedly celebrated, taking advantage of Inter's slip-up away at Udinese (0:0), so they are now just one point behind the fourth position, which leads to the Champions League next season.

The Old Lady will visit Atalanta in Bergamo in the next round.
