Notable results were also achieved by other competitors today from the local young judokas. A new gold medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina and a second for her club was brought by Adna Lukač (JK Braća Lukač), who in the final of the under 44 kg category for ages up to 14 was better than Petya Kitova from Bulgaria. The second medal for our country today was brought by Ahmed Rašljanin (JK Olimp), who won bronze in the under -46 kg category (U14).
A bronze medal was also earned by Marija Simanić (JK Famos) in the under -63 kg category, and the performance of the young Bosnian-Herzegovinian judokas was improved by Dunja Grubačić (JK Slavija) with a second place in the under 70 kg category.
With a third place in the under 73 kg category, Mihajlo Pandžić rounded off a quite successful competition day for the young judokas from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Considering that the Judo Hopes tournaments are scored by clubs, not by the countries the competitors come from, it is particularly important to highlight that the Judo Club Braća Lukač took third place in the overall standings with two gold and three silver medals.
The Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina once again proved to be an excellent technical organizer, but the real organizational challenges for our national federation are yet to come, as our country will host several more major competitions in the upcoming period...
The European Kata Championships in mid-May, as well as the World Veterans Championships and the World Veterans Kata Championships, scheduled for the end of September this year. In addition to the mentioned events, the BH federation will also be the technical organizer of the European Cup for Seniors (May 30 and 31), and the Europe Open scheduled for July 18 and 19.
This tournament was also an opportunity for young referees from our country to test themselves at such a high-quality tournament under the auspices of the European Judo Union.
