Czech authorities have announced the arrest of two more individuals in connection with last month's arson attack on a Czech optics and drone factory. The incident occurred at an industrial complex in Pardubice, approximately 120 kilometers east of Prague, where a fire broke out on March 20.
A previously unknown pro-Palestinian activist group claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that the company was targeted because it develops weapons for Israel. Czech authorities had previously reported that five people, including an Egyptian citizen and a U.S. citizen, had been detained in relation to the case.
On Wednesday, Polish prosecutors announced the arrest of two Polish nationals suspected of involvement in the attack. Czech police and prosecutors confirmed another arrest on their territory on Saturday.
An additional individual was arrested in Bulgaria on Friday, with police stating they will seek extradition. Czech authorities noted that both newly arrested persons are foreign nationals.
LPP Holding, the company involved, stated that in 2023 it announced intentions to collaborate with the Israeli group Elbit Systems but emphasized that these plans were never realized.
According to available information, LPP Holding's production includes drones exported to Ukraine, which has been defending against Russian forces since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.
