"Iran has more than 1,000 missiles capable of reaching Israel," says Lieutenant Colonel "Tet," who leads research on Iranian missiles and drones in the Air Intelligence Group, an intelligence unit of the IAF. At the start of the war, the IDF estimated that Iran possesses 2,500 ballistic missiles. Since then, Iran has fired over 500 missiles at Israel, as well as hundreds at other countries in the Middle East, and potentially hundreds of missiles have been destroyed in airstrikes. Iran's missile launches at Israel have slowed to about 10-15 missiles per day in recent weeks, a drop from around 90 missiles on the first day of the war. Since the conflict began, the Israeli military has assessed that attacks from Iran will continue as long as the war is active, and the rate of missile launches could even increase. "Frankly, I estimate it won't reach zero [launches per day]," says the officer in an interview with Channel 12 news. "I think they will continue launching ballistic missiles. I don't think it will be significantly more than what we have seen so far," he adds.
