Through various projects in the fields of education, social protection, and economic empowerment, the organization continuously works to improve living conditions and create long-term opportunities for the most vulnerable categories of society. Special emphasis is placed on supporting returnees, where Islamic Relief BiH, through scholarships, employment assistance, and local community development, aims to contribute to sustainable stay and the enhancement of quality of life. Such programs are designed not only to provide individual support to beneficiaries but also to strengthen entire communities by investing in education and future generations.
These scholarships represent a continuation of this approach, focused on providing concrete support to youth in returnee areas to enable them to access better quality education and greater opportunities to stay and develop within their local communities.
Islamic Relief Bosnia and Herzegovina announces a public call for scholarship applications for pupils and students living in returnee areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Eligible candidates are those with residence in the Republic of Srpska, as well as in the following local communities in the Federation of BiH: Livno, Glamoฤ, Stolac, Jajce, Ljubuลกki, and ฤapljina.
Scholarships are awarded for the academic/school year 2025/2026 (10 months, October โ July) and are paid in a lump sum: - Primary school pupils: 1,000 KM - Secondary school pupils: 1,500 KM
Application Requirements - Have residence in the specified areas of BiH - Do not receive another scholarship - For students: be enrolled in an accredited higher education institution in BiH, as a regular or self-financing student, and be under 30 years of age.
Selection Criteria Applications will be evaluated based on: - Socio-economic status of the family - Social engagement and special achievements - Scarce profession (for students) - Marital status (for students).
Required Documentation: - Proof of schooling/studies - Proof of academic performance (grade average and certificates) - Household list and proof of residence - Proof of income and status of household members.
Additional Documentation (if applicable): - Proof of disability - Marriage certificate (for students) - Proof of belonging to vulnerable categories.
Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.
