Earlier this month, this service declared that this blockade now represents the longest nationwide internet shutdown ever recorded in any country.

"The human and economic impacts of this extended censorship measure continue to mount, setting global records for internet shutdowns in a connected society," NetBlocks wrote on platform X.

Since the U.S. and Israel first carried out strikes on Iran, its regime has almost completely blocked internet access in the country.

This followed another multi-week internet blockade in January of this year during anti-government protests.
