Gurman: iPhone Fold is still on track to be unveiled in September

Although a recent report claims that Apple's foldable iPhone encountered issues during the engineering testing phase, allegedly delaying its launch beyond the September deadline by several months, a new report contradicts this claim and suggests that Apple remains on track to introduce the iPhone Fold in September.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has dismissed recent claims about the delay of the foldable iPhone, stating that development is proceeding as planned. Citing sources familiar with the matter, Gurman reports that the model will be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.

According to Gurman, the foldable iPhone is expected to go on sale alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models or shortly thereafter.

However, initial supply may be limited due to the complexity of manufacturing the foldable screen and other components, such as the rumored 3D-printed hinge. Gurman also notes that the final launch timeline could still shift, as the launch is several months away and production "has not yet ramped up."
