Delegates in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina who oppose the freezing of excise duties must step into the shoes of the people living on 1,600 KM or less. They must understand that citizens are taking out multi-year loans equivalent to one parliamentary salary and that a fuel price of four KM is unsustainable for the majority of the population," Blanuša stated.

An emergency session of the House of Peoples of the state parliament, where the freezing of excise duties will be discussed, has been scheduled for Wednesday.

"Only those who do not pay for fuel out of their own pockets can be insensitive to the needs of the people and ignore the inflationary impact. It must not happen that budgets have money for the private firms of the wealthiest tycoons while the poor people pay for it. It must not happen that the authorities do not consider record sowing prices that will lead to basic food becoming a luxury," emphasized Blanuša.

The SDS president warned "the regime that they will bear responsibility if they block the freezing of excise duties again on Wednesday."

"When they face the rebellion of the people who will have no money for basic needs, let them not invent colored revolutions. As they sow, so shall they reap," Blanuša said.
