This award is presented by CSMA for the best doctoral thesis in 2025, recognizing outstanding scientific achievements in this field.

Dr. Ljukovac's academic journey began at the University of Sarajevo, where he completed his undergraduate and master's studies in mechanical engineering. He then further advanced his knowledge through industrial experience, working as a mechanical engineer at the company EMKA from 2018 to 2021.

The combination of theory and practice steered him toward a scientific career, which he continues in France, where he earned his doctorate at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne. As a researcher at the Laboratoire Roberval from 2022 to 2025, he worked on one of the key challenges of modern engineering: precise modeling and control of wind turbine behavior with flexible blades under extreme conditions.

This research has broad applications, ranging from the development of renewable energy sources to the aerospace industry and robotics, as well as the enhancement of complex engineering systems. Special value is added to his doctoral thesis by the fact that it was realized as a joint project between the French university and the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo, confirming the importance of international cooperation and knowledge exchange for the development of domestic science.

The doctoral dissertation was completed under the mentorship of Adnan Ibrahimbegović, one of the world's leading experts in the field of computational mechanics, with co-mentorship by Maida Čohodar Husić.

This exceptional achievement by the young researcher from Goražde once again confirms that knowledge, dedication, and opportunities for international collaboration can result in accomplishments that position Bosnia and Herzegovina on the map of world science.
