Although the goalkeeper is clearly proud of his new "decoration," many fans on social media sharply criticized him. Many consider the tattoo tasteless, and in the comments, they told him that, despite the millions he earns, he simply has no style. Given that the Italian national team failed to qualify for the last two World Cups, fans took the opportunity to "step on his corns," especially after the playoff defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica.
