Namely, in the TVSA program, he noted that one of the consequences is that diesel has become 50 percent more expensive in the month since the conflict began, while gasoline has increased by 14 percent. He pointed out that this morning the average fuel price in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was 3.50 KM and emphasized that it is the entity government's duty to halt inflationary pressure. According to his words, given that diesel is 50 percent more expensive, an optimistic estimate is that inflation will rise between two and 3.70 percent. "The inflation rate in February was 3.10 percent, which was among the lowest inflation rates in the region, and now it could rise to 6.50 percent. In March, it was 4.50 percent. Inflation of basic foodstuffs should increase by two percent," Hasiฤeviฤ indicated. He emphasized that there are two goals: to cut the wave of price increases and ensure a continuous supply of basic necessities. As some of the anti-inflationary measures of the FBiH Government, he highlighted the limitation of margins on petroleum derivatives and the "locking" of prices of basic foodstuffs. He believes it is necessary to regulate margins in wholesale as well because, as he claims, there are distributors and large importers who have a certain type of monopoly. He announced "targeted" subsidies for the population and assures that inspections are constantly monitoring prices. He called on citizens to rational consumption. "We will have to spend more rationally. Every liter of fuel is important because we do not know how long this will last. This also applies to food. This is a precaution because we need to change our mindset. It would be irresponsible for me to promise or for the Government to promise, or it would be unrealistic to expect that our measures will solve the global disruption," he assessed. As he emphasized, diesel is the most critical, and he is not at all optimistic, not wanting to scare anyone. He noted that the worst-case scenario would be if there were an interruption in the supply of basic foodstuffs.
