Although this is not his first discographic venture, it marks his first release under the umbrella of Dallas Records. "Etida o ambalažama" brings a recognizable, organic pop sound within an intimate, acoustic atmosphere, and this very approach will characterize the entire album. The new material was recorded as a special acoustic edition that foregrounds emotion, stripped-down expression, and the musicality of the performer.
He is already well-known to the public as a versatile artist; besides his music career, he has achieved notable roles on the small screen and theater stages. The wider audience had the chance to get to know him in the 8th season of the popular show "Tvoje lice zvuči poznato," while theater audiences remember his performances in the plays "Džaba je najskuplje" and "Pas Matter." He further confirmed his musical talent by guest-performing at Crvena jabuka's major concert in the Arena last year.
On the song, alongside Faris Pinjo, numerous musicians participated: Filip Vincek (guitar), Marko Palameta (piano), Toni Lesko (percussion and backing vocals), Stjepan Lesko (bass guitar), Petar Ruk (violin), and Mihaela Palameta (backing vocals).
The music and lyrics are credited to Faris Pinjo, while the arrangement is jointly credited to Faris Pinjo, Toni Tkalec, and Filip Vincek. Production is credited to Toni Tkalec.
Special attention is also drawn to the single's visual identity, for which director Goran Popović is responsible. The music video for "Etida o ambalažama" emerges as a thoughtful response to the song's theme, exploring the boundaries between the natural and the artificial through a minimalist, stylized approach inspired by Wes Anderson's aesthetics.
"The visual of this video was created as a direct response to the song's lyrics, which problematize the boundary between the natural and the artificial. Through a minimalist, 'Wes Anderson-esque' approach, symmetrical frames, and precisely composed images, I establish a space where the natural and the artificial collide and reveal themselves. The video was realized in the form of one carefully choreographed 'one take' shot, where every movement has its place and meaning. Through a series of ritualistic and somewhat absurd actions, such as fruit growing on a string or 're-watering nature,' the complex relationship of humans toward the world they try to control is revealed," emphasizes Popović.
He added that the central motif is a child who, through ballet movements and watercolor, paints real flowers of nature.
"This layer introduces the idea of sincerity and innocence but also suggests that the child is the author of this world; that the video is his/her intuitive, brave artistic act, open to personal interpretations. The performer's character disrupts the established symmetry and opens a space of freedom within a system that appears perfect but is essentially empty. Inspiration from Chaplinesque movements and clown elements further emphasizes this play between the serious and the absurd. The goal was to slow down the viewer's perception and offer an alternative to the accelerated visual language of today; a space where the image breathes, and meaning gradually unfolds, leaving the viewer the freedom to return to it and reinterpret it anew," he stated.
The video is credited to a team led by director of photography Goran Stojkić, while production is credited to Bonk Production from Mostar. The audio part was realized at Penthouse Studio in Zagreb, under the guidance of producer Toni Tkalec. "Etida o ambalažama" brings a mature and thoughtful artistic expression and represents an important step in the further artistic development of Faris Pinjo, confirming his authenticity and presence on the regional music scene.
