According to available information, HAI has become a shareholder partner of the Mostar-based company, while the majority owner remains the M.T. Abraham Group. The exact investment amount and the share taken over by the Austrian partner have not been publicly disclosed.
This new partnership comes at a time when the European market is experiencing growing demand for recycled and environmentally friendly aluminum. It is precisely in this segment that HAI has long-standing experience, particularly in the field of aluminum recycling and processing.
The goal of the collaboration is to modernize production processes, increase capacity, and strengthen the position of Aluminij Industrija Mostar in the European market. Special emphasis is placed on the development of sustainable production and so-called "green aluminum," which is becoming increasingly sought after in the industry.
The companies emphasize that this partnership represents a logical step in their long-term cooperation, as Mostar's Aluminij has already been part of the supply chain for the Austrian group.
Amir Gross Kabiri, President of the M.T. Abraham Group, stated: "The partnership with HAI is another confirmation of the trust and strong relationship we have established with our partners and clients. Together, we are entering a new chapter for Aluminij. It is my pleasure to welcome the HAI team, especially its CEO, Mr. Rob van Gils, with whom we will jointly ensure that Aluminij further expands its capabilities and market reach."
Rob van Gils, CEO of Hammerer Aluminium Industries, said during his visit to Mostar: "Aluminij is a well-established partner known to HAI, and in recent years we have worked closely with Mr. Kabiri to identify opportunities to further strengthen our cooperation."
The entry of one of Europe's leading aluminum producers is expected to contribute to business stability and further position Bosnia and Herzegovina on the map of the European metal industry.
Analysts believe this move could have broader economic significance, particularly in the context of strengthening exports and developing industrial capacities in the country.
Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) is an Austrian industrial group headquartered in Ranshofen and one of the significant European producers of aluminum products.
The company employs around 2,000 workers and operates in multiple international markets, including Austria, Germany, Romania, and Poland. HAI covers the entire production chainโfrom aluminum casting and extrusion to the final processing of finished products.
