The proposed price amounts to 865.40 BAM for 1,000 standard cubic meters (Smยณ), which, as stated, represents a minimal increase compared to the previous quarter. The company claims that this increase is moderate, considering, as they say, "that prices in European markets are up to 20 percent higher."

It was also emphasized that during March, the price was maintained at the January level, thereby, as they note, further protecting citizens and the economy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from sudden changes and price increases in global markets.

The price adjustment is a result of the increase in procurement costs from suppliers, which is a consequence of global movements in gas and oil prices. Nevertheless, Energoinvest states that thanks to a business model based on long-term contracts, quarterly price formation, and linkage to the oil formula, the domestic market remains more stable than most European ones.

"At a time when European exchanges are recording significant growth, a 20 percent difference in favor of the domestic market clearly shows the effect of our management model. We have managed to maintain stable prices even during periods of greatest pressure, including March when prices rose by over 70 percent in European countries, thereby further protecting citizens and the economy. Supply stability and competitive prices should be an additional motivation for new users, as well as support for the efforts of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to mitigate the energy impacts on the population and economy," said Mirza Ustamujiฤ‡.

The company states that the proposed increase will have a limited impact on end users. For households, a minimal effect on bills is expected, further softened by seasonally lower consumption, while the economy should continue to have more competitive energy prices compared to most European markets.

Energoinvest announced that in the coming period, it will continue to actively manage procurement and prices, aiming to preserve market stability and supply security under conditions of pronounced global turbulence.
