In front of packed stands, the Mostar audience and club management paid tribute to those who brought immense joy to the nation, as well as to those who left an indelible mark on Velež itself. Football Club Velež had the special honor and pleasure of hosting the architects of one of the greatest successes in Bosnian-Herzegovinian sports. Among those in the stands were the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team coach Sergej Barbarez, team director Emir Spahić, and a member of the coaching staff, Saša Papac. The audience at the Rođeni stadium, known for truly recognizing the magnitude of the moment, gave the guests a memorable welcome. The thunderous applause that echoed through the stands was a sincere expression of gratitude, respect, and pride for the historic success and qualification of our national team to the World Cup. As highlighted during the evening, their work, tireless energy, and unwavering faith in the national team brought smiles back to the faces of fans across the country, once again showing everyone what it truly means to wear the national crest with pride. At the end of the evening, in the spirit of respect and club tradition, special attention was given to a man who wove part of his professional journey into the work of the Mostar Club. President Rahimić used this solemn occasion to present a letter of gratitude to former goalkeeper coach of Rođeni, Nenad Melher. This recognition was awarded as a sign of sincere thanks for his dedicated work, commitment, and significant contribution to Velež's coaching staff. Last night's event at the Rođeni stadium once again confirmed that football in Mostar represents much more than just a game—it is emotion, memory, and deep respect for those who, through their work and heart, leave a lasting impact on both the Club and the entire homeland.
