Namely, 45-year-old Wood revealed this interesting tidbit on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast, where he was discussing his latest project "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come." During the conversation, host Josh Horowitz asked him which famous person he had recently been mistaken for.

"Recently, I think it was actually Tobey Maguire, which still happens, and it's always about Spider-Man. Not for any other Tobey role. They simply call me Spider-Man," said Wood.

The actor revealed that he doesn't like to correct people, to which host Horowitz joked that people probably think he is actually Spider-Man, not Tobey Maguire.

"You might be right. Maybe I've been wrong all along. That's possible," he said with a laugh.

Maguire is best known for his role as Peter Parker in the original "Spider-Man" trilogy from the 2000s, directed by Sam Raimi. He reprised the role in the film "Spider-Man: No Way Home," where he starred alongside Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield.

On the other hand, Wood gained global recognition for his role as Frodo Baggins in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson. He later collaborated with Jackson again on the films in "The Hobbit" series, based on the works of author J. R. R. Tolkien.
