He announced that their removal was organized immediately, but also reminded that this is not the first such incident. "To prevent such occurrences several years ago, the Municipality of Novi Grad proposed the construction of a building in that part of Dobrinja to house the Dobrinja Police Administration, which is currently located in a commercial space owned by the municipality that is neither intended nor adequate for that purpose, as these premises are on the ground floor of a residential building on Dobrinjska Bolnica Street. For this purpose, the municipality developed a conceptual and main project for the police station building, which would also include other public facilities such as a clinic and community rooms," he explained. However, he added, no further steps could be taken from the Canton, beyond declarative support. "The land where the police station would be located is owned by the canton. Placing a police station in that part of the Dobrinja settlement would be very important for the residents of that part of our municipality, who are often exposed to this type of provocation, leading some to decide to change their address and move away. Once again, I call on the outgoing Sarajevo Canton Government to take concrete action and enable the realization of the proposed initiative through joint investment or by transferring the land to the municipality so that we can begin implementing this very important project," appealed Efendić.
