It is not known whether among those who booed were his political opponents or citizens dissatisfied with the project. The construction of the bridge in the Banja Luka neighborhood of Česma began in November 2022 with a deadline of 36 months, but even after 40 months the bridge is not completed. Delays were caused by unresolved property-legal relations, permit delays, poor weather conditions, and institutional misalignment. Although during 2026 the imminent completion and opening were announced multiple times, deadlines were constantly postponed, mainly due to issues with access roads. The bridge is significant because it connects Česma with the city and surrounding municipalities, after the old bridge was destroyed in the 2014 floods.
