"Already on the first day, it showed that many lies attributed to him regarding dictatorship were completely lost, as he acknowledged the election results and executed the transition of power without any restrictions," said Dodik.

He added that the people in Republika Srpska will remain very grateful to Orban for what he has done, primarily for "understanding our position."

"We have always been somewhat alone here, except for Serbia, Russia, and we had the neoliberal world against us. Orban was the voice of reason. I want to meet with him as soon as possible and discuss how we will proceed," said Dodik.

Commenting on the projects of Republika Srpska and Hungary, Dodik said that all were agreed upon with the government of Viktor Orban and have already been implemented to a significant extent.

"If there is a halt, it will be a unilateral halt from the Hungarian side. On our side, we will proceed if possible; if not, we lived without it five, six years ago," concluded Dodik.

It should be recalled that Orban's government has repeatedly provided financial assistance to Dodik's administration at crucial moments, both financially and through lobbying. That story ended last night, and Dodik has now lost an important political partner.
