Zvizdić emphasized that there is no alternative to Euro-Atlantic integration, and that attempts at political balancing between different geopolitical options are wrong and harmful to the country's long-term interests.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina belongs to Europe politically, geographically, and culturally. Our two key priorities remain the European Union and the NATO alliance," stated Zvizdić, adding that it is realistic to expect NATO membership within five years, provided the necessary conditions are met and the continuity of reforms is maintained.
According to him, NATO membership is not only a matter of security but also of political stability and economic development, as well as clear positioning of BiH within the Western circle of states.
He added that all alternatives offered outside European and NATO integrations represent "false choices," emphasizing that BiH is not a periphery but an integral part of the European space.
At the same time, Zvizdić conveyed that the European and Euro-Atlantic path does not exclude the development of partnership relations with other countries, including Turkey and the Gulf states, but with a clearly defined strategic direction.
It should be noted that similar, even more optimistic announcements have been made by SDP officials, who have conveyed that BiH could already be a member of the NATO alliance.
Additionally, the NATO alliance is currently going through a turbulent period in the current geopolitical circumstances, primarily due to criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the war in Iran.
