The Open Doors Day is an event that will allow prospective students and their parents to become acquainted with the modern educational model that positions EMC as a recognizable secondary medical center in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on practical instruction that begins from the first day of schooling.
Practice from the first day at the UniMed Polyclinic and SSST University Laboratories
Within the European Medical College, there are the Secondary Medical School and the Secondary Dental Technician School, which offer modern professional programs tailored to the needs of the healthcare system and the labor market.
The Secondary Dental Technician School offers the following programs: โข Dental Nurse.
The Secondary Medical School encompasses the following programs: โข Physiotherapy Technician, โข Obstetric-Gynecological Nurse, โข Psychogeriatric Nurse, โข Pharmaceutical Technician.
One of the key features of the EMC educational model is practice from the first day of schooling. Through the system of the founder, SSST University, which possesses modern educational and laboratory resources, students have the opportunity to learn in a real academic and clinical environment, with part of the instruction also conducted in English.
Practical instruction is carried out through work in the SSST University laboratories, where students, under professional supervision, develop practical skills and competencies important for their future professional work.
An additional value is the collaboration with the UniMed Polyclinic, where during their schooling, students participate in practical work and come into contact with patients under professional supervision, enabling them to gain early experience in the healthcare system.
During the Open Doors Day, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the EMC premises, including classrooms and laboratories, meet the teaching staff, and obtain detailed information about the programs, enrollment, extracurricular activities, and the school's educational concept. The Director of EMC, Nermina Kutuz Beลกireviฤ, together with professors and professional staff, will welcome visitors and present the educational concept that connects theoretical knowledge and practical instruction in a modern educational environment.
Additionally, during the following week, for all interested students and their parents, visits to the UniMed Polyclinic and SSST University will be organized as the practice locations for future EMC students, where, accompanied by EMC professional staff, they will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the space and conditions in which practical instruction is conducted during schooling.
Additional Enrollment Information
Candidates interested in enrolling in the European Medical College can attend admission interviews scheduled for April 8 and 22 of this year, at 12:00 PM. The interview is part of the selection process and aims to get to know the candidates, their interests and motivations, as well as to present the educational program.
Students also have access to scholarship opportunities, in accordance with the institution's criteria and internal regulations.
