Reflecting on the opponent, Cvitanović emphasized that he is aware of the quality of the team from Mostar, which rested key players in preparation for this derby.
"Tomorrow we have an important and significant match in which we want to show the best we can and the potential we possess. Zrinjski's team is certainly a strong one. We saw against Radnik from Bijeljina in the Cup that they rotated and rested their most important players for this match, which in itself highlights the importance of our duel," said Cvitanović.
The Sarajevo coach also briefly touched on the previous derby against Željezničar. Although the Bordo team remained undefeated at Grbavica (0:0), Cvitanović stressed that he does not want to settle for average achievements.
"Despite seven years without a win at Grbavica, we might have been expected to settle for that draw. However, as I said on the first day I arrived here, I am simply not satisfied with average. I always want more, I want us to be better, and I will start with myself. I am not satisfied either, and I want to improve in every aspect. At the moment, we are not showing on the field what we want and believe we have the potential for. I would emphasize that I believe in this team, I believe in these players. I will always demand more, both from myself and from them on the field. This team has potential and quality, but we must demonstrate it on the field," said Cvitanović.
Finally, Cvitanović explained what exactly he expects from the players who take the field. He emphasized that he is not seeking perfection, but rather character, sacrifice, energy, and fight from the first to the last minute. According to him, tomorrow's match is a real opportunity for the team to show its true potential.
The match at the "Asim Ferhatović Hase" stadium will be played on Saturday, starting at 18:30, and will be officiated by Miloš Gigović.
