The Israeli military announced on Monday that the bodies of four individuals were recovered from under the rubble after several hours of intensive search and rescue operations.
Recall that Iran carried out a severe strike on Haifa yesterday, hitting a residential building. Israeli media previously reported that four people were injured in the attack.
Part of the building collapsed, and Israeli firefighters stated that the structure suffered a direct hit from an Iranian ballistic missile, with a serious risk of complete collapse.
Fire and rescue teams reported that a fire broke out at the attack site, while the injured were evacuated. It was also noted that a search is underway for at least three more individuals believed to be trapped under the debris.
"There is serious concern that the building could collapse. Our unit is working under extremely complex conditions because there is a possibility that trapped individuals are inside the structure," the fire service report stated.
The Iranian news agency reported that Haifa was struck by a missile with a warhead weighing 450 kilograms.
