According to available information, the attacks hit densely populated residential areas in the province located north of Tehran. All injured individuals have been transferred to local medical centers, while fears are growing that the number of casualties could rise.
Reports indicate that among the dead are two infants.
These attacks are part of a broader escalation of conflict following the expiration of U.S. President Donald Trump's ultimatum regarding the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz. The United States and Israel have intensified military strikes on targets across Iran in recent days.
In addition to Alborz, attacks have also been recorded on petrochemical facilities in Shiraz and on the airport in Khorramabad. The Israeli military has also issued an urgent warning to Iranian civilians to avoid railway infrastructure, stating that it could be a target for future attacks.
Earlier strikes in the region also hit a strategic bridge in the city of Karaj, which U.S. officials claim was used for transporting missiles.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that millions of citizens are ready to defend the country, noting that over 14 million Iranians have voluntarily registered for defense.
Simultaneously, diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire are underway. Mediators from Pakistan and other countries are attempting to initiate negotiations, but Iran is currently rejecting such initiatives.
According to available estimates, since the beginning of the conflict in late February of this year, between 1,900 and 3,500 people have been killed, while more than 20,000 have been injured.
In just the last 24 hours, dozens of civilians have been killed in various parts of Iran, including at least seven children.
