In an interview for the show The Briefing with Jen Psaki, Kerry stated that he participated in numerous discussions with Netanyahu during which the Israeli leader advocated for U.S. military action. "He wanted us to strike," Kerry said. He added that Netanyahu had presented this proposal to the administration of former President Barack Obama, as well as to earlier and later U.S. presidents. "President Obama refused. President Joe Biden refused. President George W. Bush refused. The only president who agreed to this was, obviously, President Trump," he said. Kerry further noted that Netanyahu had laid out detailed plans for military action, which he described as a "four-point proposal." According to Kerry, this plan included claims that the attacks could lead to the "elimination of the Iranian leadership, regime change, and the weakening of the military." He also mentioned that Netanyahu presented these arguments at meetings attended by high-level officials, where various opinions were considered.
