In an interview with MSNBC, Brennan sharply criticized Trump's rhetoric towards Iran, particularly his threats to destroy Iranian civilization. He warned that such statements pose a serious danger and hint at the potential use of extreme military force.

"This person is clearly disturbed. I think the 25th Amendment was written with Donald Trump in mind," Brennan said, referring to the U.S. Constitution.

Brennan cautioned that Trump is too risky to remain as commander-in-chief of the military, given his control over immense military power, including the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

The comments from the former CIA director have brought to the forefront the growing debate over Trump's decision to go to war with Iran and his increasingly violent threats to inflict massive destruction on that country.

Trump previously warned that "the entire Iranian civilization will die" if Iranians do not comply with his ultimatum. Brennan stated that such a threat suggests the deployment of nuclear capabilities.

According to NBC News, more than 70 Democrats in the U.S. Congress have already called for the activation of the 25th Amendment, which allows the vice president and a majority of cabinet members to declare the president unfit for duty and thereby remove him.

However, political analysts in the U.S. estimate that the chances of such a scenario are minimal, given the strong support Trump still enjoys within his administration, including Vice President JD Vance and cabinet members.

Adding weight to Brennan's statements is the fact that he himself is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice, as part of a broader action targeting former security apparatus officials. In the same context, former FBI Director James Comey was also investigated and later charged with lying to Congress, but the court dismissed the charges.
