It has long been hinted that the iPhone Fold (or Ultra) will finally "see the light of day" this fall alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. However, recent rumors suggest that shipments will not begin immediately, as Apple is reportedly set to announce it at the same event as the Pro models, which will become available in late September as usual, while the Fold model may take several more weeks to reach stores. One source claims this, while another indicates it might not be released until December.

Nevertheless, Apple appears to be doing everything possible to ensure the arrival of the iPhone Fold is fully synchronized with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. According to a source on the social network Weibo, trial production of the iPhone Fold has already begun at the factory of Apple's manufacturing partner Foxconn in China.

This means it is on track for mass production to start around July, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, of course, provided everything goes smoothly during this initial trial production phase.
