Anbernic frequently releases details about its upcoming products, and so far we know that the RG Rotate will run on Android, feature an aluminum frame, and be available in Polar Black and Aurora Silver. Anbernic's video details that the handheld device will have an "ultra-thin alloy hinge" that has undergone "high durability testing." This handheld manufacturer has experience with other types of hinges, as seen in the RG DS and RG 34XXSP models, but the hinge mechanism of the RG Rotate could present a new engineering challenge.
As for the rest of the design, Anbernic has added replaceable L2 and R2 buttons, allowing users to adjust the height of the shoulder buttons. According to the video, the RG Rotate might only have one USB-C port, which has upset some fans who were hoping for an audio jack. Anbernic has not yet announced the price for the RG Rotate, but it will likely be much cheaper than the premium options offered by Ayn or Retroid.
