Iran demands war reparations and control over the Strait of Hormuz as key conditions for reaching a final agreement, declared First Vice President Reza Aref. According to him, during the talks held in Islamabad, which concluded without an agreement, Tehran demanded that the United States recognize Iranian authority over transit in this vital maritime corridor. Aref emphasized that securing "authority in the Strait of Hormuz" and pursuing compensation for damages caused by American and Israeli attacks are, in his view, "the rights of the Iranian people." In a response on social media, he added that these demands represent an unwavering commitment to strengthening Iran.
