Albanian Deputy Prime Minister Koçiu inspected today the building damaged by the fire two days ago near QSUT in Tirana, where 71 apartments were burned. Koçiu stated that he has also communicated with the Municipality of Tirana, which will provide accommodation for the affected residents, offering rental bonuses or shelter. "All those who may have issues related to the caused situation must be held accountable. And secondly, the expert group is assessing the situation both at the policy level and at the instrument level. This here serves as a good case for us to learn lessons, but we must wait for the investigations to conclude," said Deputy Prime Minister Koçiu. During the discussion with the residents affected by the fire, Deputy Prime Minister Koçiu added that this entire situation is a misfortune that has provided a lesson that will be reflected in concrete measures. "It is a misfortune that has affected and sensitized not only the institutions but also all those involved in construction. It has affected you first and foremost. What I will say to you today is the guarantee that we will be by your side until the end of the process, until the building is restored to the condition you paid for. This event has given us a lesson that we must reflect in concrete measures. But what matters is that the company undertakes to restore the damaged entrances to the condition you purchased them in. For all of this, we are together throughout the process," added Koçiu.
