Citizens and firefighters who suffered smoke inhalation after a major fire near QSUT have been discharged from the hospital, as they are in good health condition. The incident occurred a day earlier, when a building, part of a residential complex, was engulfed in flames, causing significant material damage. According to reports, 8 people suffered smoke inhalation, including 6 firefighters and 2 citizens, who received medical assistance during the night. Two Cougar helicopters were also involved in the firefighting operation, while authorities continue investigations to determine the causes of the incident. Material damages are reported to be considerable.
