Five people witnessed the dramatic scenes of the fire at the "arlis" complex, where almost the entire building was burned down. As seen in the footage, shocked people with tears in their eyes watched the building, which was "taken over" by flames on the exterior facade within minutes.
The firefighting operation involved 8 fire trucks, ambulances, 2 Cougar helicopters, and 50 personnel, including firefighters, soldiers, police forces, and RENEA. According to current information, it is suspected that the fire started from the lower floors under unclear circumstances and quickly spread up to the 12th floor.
The intervention of the firefighting forces managed to evacuate the building's residents in time, who had been trapped inside. Because the building lacked emergency stairs, fire ladders were needed to rescue the elderly.
