A large-scale fire engulfed the Bushat landfill waste disposal site this Sunday, causing a problematic situation in the area. The flames spread rapidly across the entire surface of the landfill, while the cause of the fire outbreak remains unclear so far. Firefighting services immediately intervened at the scene, where 6 firefighting vehicles are currently operating. Two of them are from the Shkodër municipality, while the others have arrived in support from the Lezhë and Vau i Dejës municipalities. Firefighters are working intensively to isolate and extinguish the flames, aiming to prevent further spread of the fire and minimize environmental and surrounding area consequences.
