A tragic event has shaken Kosovo's football. Liridon Gubetini, a player for the veterans' club KFV Barileva, passed away at the age of 43 during a football match. According to preliminary information, Gubetini lost consciousness after the end of the first half of the Cup match between KFV Barileva and KFV Deรงani. Despite intervention and efforts to assist him, he later passed away. According to media in Kosovo, the tragedy is suspected to have been caused by a heart attack. The news was confirmed by the KFV Barileva club through an official statement, which highlighted his continuous contribution to the team and his years of dedication to veterans' football. "In these difficult moments, we extend our most sincere condolences to the Gubetini family, the sports community, and all the friends and teammates who had the fortune of knowing him," the club's announcement stated. KFV Barileva emphasized that Gubetini will be remembered as a respected figure and an important part of the team since the establishment of the veterans' squad. "Liridon will always be remembered as a respected and dedicated man, a part of our club from the very first day of the veterans' team's founding," the statement continued.
