The Prosecutor's Office of Fier has fully uncovered the incident that occurred a year ago in Fier, where Suzana Mërnica was injured while with her son, Hysen Mërnica. According to the case file, the perpetrators of the assassination attempt were father and son Afrim and Ali Cimili, while the target was the 50-year-old woman's son.
Father and son organized the assassination attempt against Hysen Mërnica due to ongoing conflicts they had with him. They are suspected of ambushing him while he was moving on a motorcycle together with his mother, Suzana Mërnica.
From the evidence gathered, it appears that the perpetrators fired nine shots at Hysen Mërnica while moving in two different vehicles. According to the investigative file, one of them was driving a Toyota vehicle and shooting with a firearm, while the other, in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, used a pistol.
The Fier Prosecutor's Office concludes the investigations and sends citizens A.C and A.C (father and son) to trial for the attempted murder of citizen H.M.
The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier completed the investigations and sent citizens A.C. and A.C. (father and son) to trial for the criminal offense of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in cooperation and attempted, and 'Unauthorized Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Devices, and Ammunition' as provided for by Articles 78, 25, 22, and 278, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
From the investigations into criminal proceeding no. 474, it was proven that the defendants A.C and A.C, due to a prior conflict between defendant A.C (the son) and victim H.M, while driving two different vehicles, ambushed victim H.M, who was moving on a motorcycle together with his mother S.M, shooting him 9 (nine) times while they were moving in their respective vehicles.
Specifically, defendant A.C., shortly before the incident occurred, was together with his father, defendant A.C. During this time, they crossed paths with victim H.M on the road and observed his movement itinerary. Under these circumstances, the two defendants together prepared the conditions for committing the criminal offense and carried it out. Defendant A.C., while driving the Toyota vehicle, shot with a firearm at the victims, while the other defendant A.C., while driving the Mercedes-Benz vehicle, shot with a pistol at the victims.
